Fairbanks, Alaska -Former Juneau resident Audrey Lee (Feero) Coffin passed away peacefully of natural causes on February 2, 2023.

Audrey, known as “Patti” by her friends and family, was born August 9, 1934 in Seattle to Bernard and Rebecca (Whisnant) Feero. Moving to Juneau when she was a little girl, Audrey graduated from the Juneau High School in 1953. After which, she married Peter Warner and they bore three children. Moving to Anchorage in 1971, she worked for Alaska Airlines until retiring in 1988. Following retirement, Audrey and her then husband, George Coffin, traveled extensively.

Audrey was proceeded in death by her parents, brother Marlin Feero, sister Lorraine (Feero) Talo, and husband George.

Audrey is survived by her daughter Lianne (Warner) Coates and Lianne’s husband Darryl; sons Loren Warner and David Warner; her grandchildren begot by Lianne include Stephen, Nathan, Adam and Ashley, and grandchildren begot by Loren include Rachel and Samuel; and many great-grandchildren.

Audrey’s family wrote: “She adored her family and friends, and was loved by all. During her younger years, she enjoyed dancing, modeling, salmon fishing, and travel. During her later years she took pleasure being around her beloved family, and joining former Alaska Airline co-workers and friends for coffee at least once a week. She will be missed.”

Audrey resided at Jade Assisted Living Home in Anchorage since 2016, where she was lovingly cared for. She passed away peacefully in the company of friends and family. Widowed in 2006, Audrey’s remains will be laid to rest with her late husband, George Coffin, at Fort Richardson’s National Cemetery.

Fairbanks, Alaska – John Michael Shirley, 60, passed away on Monday, November 28, 2022, in Fairbanks, Alaska, after a long battle with cancer. He was at home surrounded by his loving family.

John was born April 8, 1962, in Saint Louis, Mo, to Francis and Joann Shirley. He was the oldest of two children. Throughout his childhood he loved playing baseball, swimming, and the drums. He was very fond of his cousins Lynda and Rob. Being a military child, they moved around and eventually made their way to Fort Richardson, in Anchorage, Alaska in 1975.

In Anchorage he met his first wife Julie, and had two beautiful children, Stephen, and Tamara Shirley. In 2011 he moved to Fairbanks. Here in Fairbanks is where he met his life partner, Lisa Tacke. John and Lisa spent every possible moment together. They went on several memorable vacations. John knew no stranger.

He could sit down and strike up a conversation with anyone. He was a good listener, father, grandfather, companion, and friend. He will be missed by many.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Joann Shirley, father, Francis Shirley, and sister, Lisa Noftsger.

Celebration of Life will be held on Dec 12, 2022, at the Moose Lodge in Fairbanks, Alaska from 6pm-9pm.
