North Adams, MA – Luigi P “Louie” Puricelli, 84, of North Adams died Saturday December 17, 2022 at Williamstown Commons.

He was born in North Adams on December 17, 1938 to the late Pietro and Louisa (Radaelli) Puricelli.

He attended North Adams schools and graduated from the vocational school at Drury High School.

Louie was employed for many years as a machinist at Parker Machine Company and was a former member of the Massachusetts National Guard.
Survivors include his loving wife, Sheila (Scarbo) Puricelli, whom he married June 25, 1966. He leaves three children, Richard Puricelli and his wife Kimberly, Anne-Marie Bona and her husband Keith and Matthew Puricelli and his wife Megan. He also leaves eight grandchildren, Britney Prime (David), Kyle Folino (Laura), Michelle Puricelli, A.J. Bona, Liz Bona, Jerry McCarthy, Sarah McCarthy and Molly Puricelli and three great-grandchildren Kyler, Bentley, and Arthur. He was predeceased by three brothers Angelo, Carlo and Paulo Puricelli and one sister Virginia Goorhouse.

myrna, Delaware – Daniel Selby (Uncle Dan) Bloxom, 85, husband of the late Jo Ann Byrd Bloxom and a lifelong resident of Smyrna, DE passed away on Sunday October 9, 2022.

Born in Nassawadox VA and raised in Mappsville, VA, he was the son of the late Selby G. Bloxom and the late Mattie N. Bloxom. He graduated from Parksley High School in 1955 and then moved to Smyrna, DE on September 12, 1955. He married Jo Ann on October 29, 1955.

In 1955, Daniel began working at Irwin G. Burton (currently Willis Chevrolet) and then continued working for more than 40 years in the Willis Chevrolet sales department. Dan served in the Delaware Army National Guard HQ & HQ 197 AAA BN AW (SP). He was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church and a 55-year member of Harmony Lodge #13 AF&AM. He was awarded the Delaware Grand Lodge Award of Honor in 2004.

Uncle Dan enjoyed traveling, especially to the Eastern Shore of Virginia and enjoyed Chincoteague oysters.

In addition to his wife and parents, Daniel was preceded in death by his two sisters, Audrey B. Passwaters and Grace B. Shreaves, Kenny M. Northam and his little darling Janet L. Clark.

He is survived by his niece Patricia A. Musto of Smyrna, DE, great nephew Kevin J. Musto, great niece Amy C. Musto also of Smyrna, DE as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 6 pm to 7:30 pm on Friday October 14, 2022 at Matthews-Bryson Funeral Home, 123 W. Commerce Street Smyrna, DE with a Masonic service at 7:30 pm, followed by a memorial service with Pastor Julie A. Lewis from Asbury United Methodist Church. Graveside services will be conducted Saturday October 15, 2022 at 11 am at Odd Fellows Cemetery, followed by a celebration of life at the Smyrna Opera House.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The Smyrna Opera House 7 W. South Street Smyrna, DE.

Sonoma, Nevada – Howard Russell Woodworth passed away on November 11, 2022, at the age of 85. He was born on October 20, 1937, in Woodland, California to Robert Alonzo and Alta Mae Woodworth.

Howard enlisted in the Army National Guard during his junior year of high school. Upon his graduation the following year, he started his career. He served 22 ½ years and retired as an E-8. He mostly worked as a mechanic and welder during his National Guard career, he also took this skill to many farms and mines throughout Northern Nevada.

Howard married the love of his life, Judy Melvina Munro on February 15, 1969. The two have been married for 53 years. They shared 2 children and many cherished memories. The family has lived in many places across Northern Nevada; Dayton, Yerington, Orovada, Ruby Valley, McDermitt, Winnemucca, Gardnerville, and Ely to name a few.

Howard was a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He served his church as a teacher, Sunday School President, Clerk, Branch President, High Councilman, Missionary. He was not only a pivotal member of his church but also his community. Howard was a Boy Scout Leader, Scout Master, Leadership Trainer, and District Committee Chairman; he volunteered with the Boy Scouts for 48 years.

Howard enjoyed gardening, rock collecting, storytelling, spending time with family, woodworking, camping, fishing, hunting, and reading.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Melvina Munro Woodworth; his children, Russell Eugene Woodworth and Sara Adele Woodworth Jeffries; his grandchildren, Melissa Lee (Allen) Woodworth Ruedinger, Melinda Marie Melvina (Randall) Jeffries Stark, Samantha Mae Jeffries, Nathan Eugene Jeffries, and Brian Nicholas Woodworth; and his great-grandchildren, Aubree Stark and Ellis Ruedlinger. He is also survived by his siblings, Everett Marlin (Marie) Woodworth, Robert Loren Woodworth, Gordon Wayne Woodworth, Ronald Lane Woodworth, Ruth Darlene Woodworth McGarr, and Kathleen Elaine Woodworth Gaskill as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Alonzo Woodworth and Alta Mae Duncan Woodworth; his sister, Barbara Louise Nichols, his grandchildren, Sean Michael Woodworth and Travis Ty Jeffries and a nephew, Michael Robin Baderstsher.

The family would like to thank Humboldt General Hospital Acute Care staff, therapists and all the support staff.

Funeral Services for Howard Woodworth will be held on Monday, November 21, 2022, at the Orovada Community Center. Viewing at 10:30 am, Funeral at 11:00 am with graveside services to follow at the Orovada Cemetery.

Phoenix, AZ – Nancy Sheehan, 75, of Phoenix, Arizona, died on November 9, 2022 after complications from
brain surgery.

She was born on December 17, 1946 to Walter and Dorothy Merrill (Gormley) of
Newburyport, Massachusetts.

In her late 20’s Nancy spent time serving in the National Guard. She also did some modeling.
In her free time she enjoyed gardening and bowling.

Nancy gave birth to two sons and a daughter from her former husband, now deceased.
Even though her children moved away and she did not have a lot of contact with them,
she loved them very much.

Nancy met her husband Michael in 2001 in Salem NH and he became the love of her life.
They moved to Phoenix to live in a more temperate climate and were able to enjoy
watching the birds, year round, at their many bird feeders.

She and Michael spent many fun times playing darts and watching football.
She also enjoyed decorating the house for the holidays, especially Halloween.
She had 2 cats, Billy and Sophie, that she doted on.

Nancy leaves behind her husband Michael, her 2 sons, Joseph and Scott and a daughter
Dorothy. She also leaves behind 5 sisters; Beverly, Linda, Joan, Stella and Marie as well as many
cousins, nieces and nephews.

She will be greatly missed by everyone.

Nancy had decided to donate her body to science. She chose Research for Life in the hope
that someone might benefit from their research.
